September 12: The Fincastle Heights Mutual Ownership Corporation, for the purpose of assessing fees or charges for “live-ins” defines “live-ins” as follows:

Anyone residing in a Fincastle Heights Mutual Ownership Corporation apartment who is not a member of the immediate family of the resident member whose name appears on the title to said apartment

The Fincastle Heights Mutual Ownership Corporation, for the purpose of assessing fees or charges for live-ins, defines the term “immediate family member” as follows:
One who is the resident member or the husband, wife, son, daughter, mother or father of the resident member OR is eligible to be listed on the Unites States federal personal income tax return as a dependent OR can file jointly with the resident member. All others are considered “live-ins”
After approval of the Board, the same amount will be charged for 31 days as for 1 day unless an agreement to pro-rate was reached with the Corporation prior to the live-in taking up residency
All fees and charges for live-ins will be due and payable at the same time as the regular operating payment and will be considered as one of the conditions of remaining a member of Fincastle
EXCEPTIONS:
1. Temporary house guest; when stays are less than 15 days (longer must be reported to the office)
2. Biological and legally adopted minor children of the resident member or member’s spouse
3. A parent or parents of the resident member or the member’s spouse – financial status of the parent(s) could be a factor
4. Handicapped siblings of resident member or spouse of resident member, regardless of age
A member must gain permission from the Board in writing for all live-ins before they move in (April 19, 2022 rule supersedes some parts of this rule)
