Assignments

2024 

• ​July 23: Assignments are now $50 per person per assignment 

2021

• February 2: An addition needs to be made to the assignment contracts stating that the member to whom the unit is being assigned, agrees to take the dwelling, “as-is” and accepts any and all responsibilities for charges incurred for any repairs to the unit for the term of the contract written in their name

 

2006

• April 11: Before any unit transfer or assignment is done, it must pass before the Board for approval

 

2000

• August 8: No person is to have two units in their name at one time except for the purpose of assignment

• July 11: All assignments are released from surcharge

 

1995

• September 11: From this date forward, all assignments must be given with a 30 day “Intent to Vacate” notice and must be accompanied by the application of the person who is going to be living in that dwelling at the end of the assignments

 

1994

• December 13: Fincastle would not offer a three-bedroom apartment to a single individual. Any exceptions would have to be approved by the Board (assignments notwithstanding)

 

1990

• April 10: For assignments, Fincastle will make copies of birth certificates, marriage licenses, etc. to prove the relationship that they are immediate family
